She hears nothing and is about to yell again even louder when the door is thrown open and a tall lean young man catches it before it bangs, "Oh my-"

"Loon! Just help me!" She is sweating profusely and is about ready to collapse, but she doesn't want to drop little Harvey, "It hurts!"

Loon is out the door and at her side in two seconds. He is in the moonlight now, he wears a white t-shirt and his firefighter like coal mining pants with the top attached like a jumpsuit hanging around his waist. His dirty work boots are on too which bugs Chance because he'll get the whole house dirty. He has brown eyes and bleach blonde hair. It is pretty much white but he's not albino so I'll just call it bleach bleach blonde hair. He is very handsome and he knows it.

He takes Harvey from Chance and she slumps against her best friend, "Hold on. Let me go put Harvey in his bed and then I'll come and get you," he says quietly but urgently.

Loon moves her so she's leaning on the railing at the foot of the staircase. He then takes the stairs two at a time and walks into the room and is gone for only about thirty seconds while he takes Harvey's shoes off and tucks him into bed without waking him up.

Chance slumps to the ground out of pain and exhaustion, "Loon." She says in a defeated voice.

Loon is out the door and down the steps in seconds again, "It's okay. Well fix it. Come on," he wraps an arm under hers and around her back the other goes behind her knees.

Chance looks at him in apology and he says calmly, "I'll put you in my room tonight. If the kids wake up in the morning and you're in their room and they see you like this they'll freak out."

Chance nods slightly.

Loon carries her up the stairs quickly. He kicks open the slightly ajar door gently.

Chance looks around and sees that it's messy as ever but the usual amount of medical supplies is little to nothing. That's the reason she went to get all that stuff. He had also grabbed the duffle bag and he sets it on the floor inside the door. His bed is unmade and in the far left corner. He walks to it and sets her down gently. He goes back to the door and closes it slowly so he won't make a sound and wake up the kids.

"One of the Hounds bit me." Chance croakes as Loon makes his way over to the bed and sits on the edge.

"Alright. Well I'm sure you'll survive," he jokes as he takes off the now blood soaked patient sock and removes the crimson gauze.

Chance just closes her eyes.

Loon clears his throat, he does that when something is gross, even though he tends to the wounded doesn't mean he has to think a shredded foot is pretty to look at.

Chance sucks in a gulp of air through her teeth, it stung to have air on it. Loon glances at her face then reaches over to a table next to him to get a bottle of water and a pill bottle.

"You should take this," Loon says as he hands her the water bottle and a single white pill, "It'll keep the pain down and reduce the chance of infection."

Chance sits up and quickly swallows the pill with some water before lying back down, "Thanks for helping me..." she mumbles.

"Don't worry about it. Now you just have to make me dinner for a whole week. I don't have to go back to the mines for an entire month. They got another guy to help with the injured, so they're giving me a break," Loon smiles at her and she smiles back, glad that he was finally given some time off.

"Fine I'll make dinner for you for a week," she tosses the water back to him and he catches it, "But, I do that most of the time anyway."

Loon shrugs, "True but I'll have to make dinner for a while until you're feeling better so..."

Chance sighs as the medicine starts to work, "I won't need you to make dinner I can do everything the same as always."

Her friend gives her a disbelieving look, "Well at least no stealing for a while. Okay?"

"Fine," she answers and looks at the ceiling.

She hears some shuffling and Loon sets her foot down. There is movement as he makes his way to the duffle bag filled with stolen goods. He brings it over to the bed and sets it down next to Chance.

"There's some stuff in here that I really needed, thanks," he mumbles quietly.

Chance sits up and scoots back on the bed until she is leaning against the wall, "Yeah, I know you were low on stuff."

Loon takes out some disinfectant and a new roll of gauze, "I'm going to pour some water on it and then I'll have to use the disinfectant... It's gonna hurt though," he mentions and goes back around the bed, grabs a folding chair, and sets it next to his patient's side.

"You wanna put on one of my clean t-shirts? You look uncomfortable and hot," Loon asks while he sits down and puts a towel under her ankle to catch the water when he cleans it.

She begins removing her jacket, "Yeah that'd probably be better," she sets it on the floor next to her after folding it.

With that Loon gets up and goes to his dresser against the wall on the left side of the bed. He pulls put another one of his white t-shirts and hands it to her.

Chance takes off her long sleeved thin sweater and her hood that's around her neck. With just a compression bikini like top on, she is not bugged that Loon is right there. He's almost like a brother to her. It's quiet normal for them.

She pulls the clean shirt over her head and puts everything else next to her jacket. Loon unlaces her other boot and takes if off for her.

"It shouldn't hurt as bad, now that the medicine is working," Loon grabs the water bottle again and doesn't waist any more time talk he just pours it onto Chances torn flesh.

Chance winces at the sting but she's sure it won't be as bad as the disinfectant that's soon to come.

Loon unscrews the lid to the disinfectant and holds it in his right hand, the other hand is on Chances leg above the wounded ankle. As he pours the liquid on the gashes and has to hold her foot in place like he thought he would have to.
